Yummy mummies

A growing number of Australian women are going under the knife after childbirth to recreate their pre-pregnancy figures.

Mother of two Sandy Rogers-Ward joins the show to discuss why she travelled to Malaysia to have a breast enlargement after childbirth, along with Louise Cogan from Gorgeous Getaways.

"The popularity of mothers having surgery after childbirth is increasing at an enormous rate," explains Ms Cogan. "Many mothers are trying to gain back their pre-pregnancy figures and are finding it difficult to achieve the results they want."

Many women say they need a pep me up and a restoration of self confidence after childbirth, she says.

Gorgeous Getaways is a company who organise surgery to be done in accredited private hospitals in Malaysia, combining the surgery with a holiday for mum and the family.

Having the surgery in Malaysia can be up to 75 percent cheaper than in Australia, she says.

"Mothers like it because they get privacy and a holiday as well as the procedure," says Ms Cogan.

Sandy Rogers-Ward went to Malaysia with her own Mum and two children about 12 months ago.

"My daughter Kensely is now three and my son Zane is five," she explains. "I had the surgery done because I was unhappy with my breasts after having two children. I was suffering 'boob envy' and just decided to increase my self esteem and appearance."

"The cosmetic holiday cost around $6,500 which included the surgery and my hospital stay," she says. "It also included my airfares, five star accommodation for 10 days and all care and transfers on the ground in Malaysia."
