Karl recently noticed his internet speed had slowed right down and called his provider to find out what plan would be better. He found out that he could get twice as much download for the same price and the speed was significantly faster.

TODAY technology editor Charlie Brown joined us to take us through the best broadband deals.

Charlie says this is a reminder for people to do your homework and ring up your provider to get the best deal available and upgrade or change providers for better deals. Providers will not alert you to better plans for the same amount you're currently spending nor will they automatically roll you over.
