Koalas on TODAY

Tuesday July 3, 2012
SAVE THE KOALA PROJECT:
  • WILD LIFE Sydney asked each visitor between 2 - 11 June to sign a pledge in support of koala conservation whereby $10 from the sale of each ticket went towards the AKF.
  • This initiative was designed to help educate the public about threats to their population.
  • WILD LIFE Sydney will aim to raise funds to help regenerate koala habitat at the AKF's Quinlans property, north of Brisbane.
  • WILD LIFE Sydney aims to be at the forefront of koala conservation efforts in NSW and are continuing to develop strong relationships with various organisations to aid the koalas' plight. This includes our participation in significant koala research projects with various universities as well as their efforts with the AKF's Adopt a Koala Program

    CONSERVATION TRAIL:

  • This is being launched during the July School holidays.
  • The aim of the Conservation Trail is to help educate the public about the importance of the conservation of this national icon and further cement the attraction's leadership in leading the plight of the koala.
  • Kids will be taken on a journey with Koolah the Koala to meet some of WILD LIFE Sydney's cutest animals and learn about what they can do at home to help the conservation of these creatures.
  • Guests enjoy a delicious breakfast within the Koala Rooftop's quintessentially Australian garden setting whilst gaining an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the koalas during their most active time of the day.
  • Guests served a delicious hot buffet breakfast.
  • Guests get exclusive access to the attraction before the crowds arrive.
  • Breakfast with the Koalas will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 7:30am
  • Breakfast costs $65 for an adult and $55 for a child
  • Visitors will also be able to take home special memories of their intimate koala encounter in the form of a 6 x 9 photograph, taken by a WILD LIFE Sydney photographer who will be on-hand to capture the experience as visitors cuddle up to the cute koalas.
