Halloween is a great day for the kids, not just in the US but also here in Australia.
Joining us on the show this morning were the Quirky Birds with some fantastic and spooky craft ideas for the kids.
How to carve a pumpkin:
1 x pumpkin
1 x Very sharp serrated edge knife
1 x permanent marker
Mark out your design on the pumpkin in a permanent marker, keep the design simple (templates are on www.moreaux.com.au)Get a grown up to slice through the top of the pumpkin. Then scoop out the middle.Carve out the features using a very sharp serrated edge, put a candle inside to cast a spooky shadow.
How to make a Witches / Wizard Hat
A1 Sheet of Black Paper
Decorating materials
Glitter
Draw a large circle about 60cm diameter. Cut out the circle and then cut in half to make two hats.
Roll the paper to make a point at one end. The other end needs to fit your head, so you will have a cone shape.Use sticky tape to keep in position and cut off any extra paper.
For the witches hat you will need a rim. Draw a circle about 30cms diameter with another circle inside, roughly the circumference of your head. Cut out the rim and attach to the bottom of the cone. Attach inside with the tape, then decorate.
