For nearly 20 years, Melissa Hoyer has been a high profile journalist and commentator, specialising in popular culture - lifestyle, fashion, celebrity and social issues.
As the fashion and style editor and social columnist of Australia's largest circulating newspaper, the Sunday Telegraph, she writes a weekly column that encompasses everything in the fashion world and on the social circuit.
As well as her knowledge of Australian couture, Melissa regularly attends the Paris and Milan fashion shows each season to report on up-coming trends.
In the TV world, Melissa created, executive produced and hosted Fox Fashion, the first locally produced fashion show on Australia television and went on to co-host a series of the show with Hugh Jackman. Melissa is currently host of Arena Style on Foxtel's Arena, a series she co-hosted with Australian designer Jodhi Packer and wrote and co-produced two TV specials for the Nine Nework, Next to Nothing and Nothing to Hide.
Melissa regularly interviews subjects like Elle Macpherson, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Linda Evangalista, Sarah O'Hare and Megan Gale for both print and tv as well Ian Thorpe, Tommy Hilfiger, Russell Crowe, Collette Dinnigan, Helena Christensen, Paris Hilton, Naomi Watts, Kylie Miongue and Sophie Dahl.
Melissa has also co-hosted the Sydney episode of the international TV series, Fashion Avenue, with British model Jodie Kidd and regularly hosts and MC's events throughout the country.
As well as her print and TV work, Melissa has had and regular radio segments on highly regarded morning radio shows and is often asked to comment on pop culture issues for TV shows like TODAY, A Current Afair, 20 to 1, Australia's Next Top Model, Today Tonight and Weekend Sunrise.
Melissa lives in Sydney with her five-year-old son and has been commissioned by Pan Macmillan to write her first novel, aptly titled Good Mummy, Bad Mummy.
