At 41, Andrew Voss is a “media veteran” in rugby league circles.
At the tender age of seven, when most boys are dreaming of representing Australia at cricket or footy, Andrew had already decided that he wanted to be a rugby league commentator.
In 1987, Andrew joined Radio 2UE as a sports reporter covering swimming, cricket, athletics, surf life saving, rugby union, tennis and boxing.
He was part of 2UE’s 1990 Commonwealth Games commentary team in Auckland and by 1992, had achieved his childhood dream of being a rugby league commentator.
While still at 2UE, Andrew signed with the Nine Network in 1994 to call the Network’s schoolboy rugby league coverage and by the end of the season was working fulltime for Nine.
Andrew has been a regular caller for Nine alongside Ray Warren and league legends Paul Vautin, Peter Sterling, Matthew Johns and Phil Gould and has been hosted BOOTS ‘N ALL since its debut in 2002 through to 2006.
In 2005, “Vossy” expanded his role at the network hosting SUNDAY ROAST.
Andrew’s role at WIDE WORLD OF SPORT has also included covering marbles, guinea pig racing and pub-to-pub ski races.
